The Indian Public School is
situated in a tranquil environment,
which is an essential ingredient for study and creativity. The wooded rural site chosen for
this campus is only a 45 minutes drive from the heart of Dehradun City and has a fresh ambience of
a hill station. Doon itself is a unique valley surrounded by the Shivalik range on the one side
while the other side has the lower Himalayas. The Ganges and the Yamuna flow on either side.
Students from India and around the world live together at IPS,
which embraces the Indian perspective. Every effort is made to take the students on a voyage of discovery
of Indian tradition and heritage while adopting the modern trends and techniques. Hence holistic approach
is the key to teaching and learning experience. The teachers at IPS aim at combining the scholastic
achievements with the life skills essential for success.
The aim of the school is to develop amongst its pupils,
all round abilities, as individuals as well as team - players, by exposing them to diverse field
of activities and sports- public speaking, creative writing, Performing Arts, Dance and Music.
The School motto ‘perseverance, integrity and excellence’ sends out a powerful message
and explains the full essence of the purpose of our lives. We as a team firmly
believe that education illuminates what lies latent in an individual. What we
need is- to learn to care, accept challenges, put in an extra effort and an
extra hour to reach greater heights that is what we want our students to follow.
