7. WHAT DOES THE 'CENTRE FOR CULTURE AND HUMAN VALUES' DO?

This unique centre under the guidance of a Shatavadhani aims at exposing the , students to various aspects of Indian culture and value systems. It will organise bhajans and special talks and make students participate in spiritual activities. Only by participating and experiencing, the students can imbibe values, because values are not taught but demonstrated. Main objective of this centre will be to place before the students, role models worthy of emulation. 9. ARE STUDENTS PROVIDED WITH COUNSELLING AND CAREER GUIDANCE?

Apart from teachers, Indian Publicl School has the guidance of trained counselors to help students in personal, academic and career guidance. There will also be an opportunity of counseling by peers. Based on the aptitude and performance of students, guidance will be given to students regarding the courses of study or the University they can join for further studies. The School computer system will record and store every information about each student to have a complete database so that counseling becomes effective.

10. ARE STUDENTS TRAINED FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMS?

We assume that a large majority of our students would like to continue their studies in India. They may wish to take up competitive examinations to gain entry into prestigious institutions such as Indian Institute of Technology, Regional Engineering Colleges, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and other Engineering and Medical colleges in different states. The Indian Public School will make necessary arrangements for training the students intensively to prepare for these examinations.We hope that most of our students will complete their grade 12 from The Indian Public School and some of them would be aiming at joining institutions of higher learning in UK, USA and other countries of the world.
